A physical chemistry laboratory course that will provide students with hands-on experience that illustrates the core concepts presented in the associated physical chemistry lecture course CHM 37300.
Learning Outcomes1Gain some familiarity with modern instrumentation methods in Physical Chemistry, including UV/Vis spectroscopy and pressure-detected chemical kinetics.
2Learn Python programming syntax for reading, plotting, and fitting experimental data.
3Understand how the abstract principles described in CHM 37300 show up in the real world.
4Learn good laboratory notebook habits for recording and organizing experimental data.
