Fall 2024 Lecture Distance LearningAn introduction to the system aspects of modern radar engineering. The theoretical basis for radar performance analysis is developed and applied to radars designed for a variety of different applications. Consideration is given to system parameters such as receiver noise, antenna characteristics, operating frequency, target characteristics, transmitted signal modulation, and methods of detection. Attention is given to radars for special purposes, such as automatic range and angle tracking, moving target indication, and resolution enhancement through synthetic aperture techniques. Offered in alternate years. Prerequisite: ECE 60000.
Course ECE 678 from Purdue University - West Lafayette.
