Spring 2026 LectureThis seminar is taken by Ph.D. nursing students each semester to integrate themselves to the academic and professional roles of the Ph.D. prepared nurse. This seminar will facilitate students to share their research ideas and progress through networking and collegial discourse. It also provides a low-stake forum where students can give and receive feedback on each other's research. Seminar goals include improving students' presentation and writing skills, teaching how to give constructive criticism, and advising on the academic and professional job market.
Learning Outcomes1Present cogently their research ideas in a scholarly manner.
2Provide and appropriately respond to constructive feedback with peers.
3Discuss the power and influence of networking and collegial discourse in the development of research ideas and academic success.
4Develop writing skills necessary for successful academic and professional dissemination.
