Fall 2025 Lecture Distance Learning Upper Division
This course introduces the basic concepts, principles, and analytic methods applied in the field of real estate. The course covers topics including legal, financial, economic and marketing concepts related to real estate. The goal of the course is to expose students to the field of real estate and prepare them for more advanced real estate courses.
Learning Outcomes1Recognize and understand what real property is.
2Describe titles to the conveyance of real estate.
3Review land economic principles as they relate to real estate values.
4Identify all quantitative issues required to complete effective real estate transactions.
5Discuss the aspects of city planning and zoning on real estate values.
6Understand basic methods for real estate valuation.
