Fall 2025 Lecture Distance Learning Upper DivisionThis course is an upper level undergraduate statistics course for students in psychology and related fields who are interested in conducting or understanding quantitative research. Students should have successfully completed an introductory statistics course (e.g., PSY 20100). The course will begin with an accelerated review of fundamentals concepts (e.g., data visualization, central limit theorem, probability) and then will focus primarily on regression.
Learning Outcomes1Demonstrate advanced conceptual understanding of foundational statistical principles.
2Demonstrate ability to correctly analyze data by hand and using SPSS.
3Demonstrate skills in managing their own data.
4Demonstrate the ability to comprehensively analyze and interpret the results of correlation, simple regression, multiple regression, and two-way interaction models.
5Demonstrate proper interpretation.
6Demonstrate the ability to accurately report results of statistical analyses in APA format.
