Fall 2026 Instructors:
Principles of weed biology and ecology, with focus on reproduction and ecophysiology, population dynamics, community ecology, and ecosystem level phenomena. Instruction will emphasize the development and refinement of critical thinking skills.
Learning Outcomes1Develop as a scholar by creating a scholarly review paper on a topic or issue related to weed biology.
2Be able to understand and analyze peer-reviewed scientific literature so that you can engage in informed discussions about weed science.
3Gain knowledge about key topics in weed biology, including seed and seed bank ecology, effects of biotic and abiotic factors on weed growth, and key theories related to plant invasions.
