Spring 2025 Distance LearningThis graduate course serves as the methodological foundation of strategic communication. Students in this class will survey core research methods (qualitative and quantitative) in professional and applied settings. This class is fully online. Students will interact with faculty and other students throughout the week. Permission of department required.
Learning Outcomes1Identify and describe the major elements of the research process.
2Formulate meaningful research questions and hypotheses.
3Identify appropriate research methodologies associated with different types of research questions and hypotheses.
4Conduct a variety of basic analyses of common communication data sets.
5Design a research proposal to answer a set of research questions or hypotheses.
