Advanced classical test theory and application of psychometric methods to study technical properties of tests. Prerequisite: (EDPS 53100 and STAT 50200), or (PSY 60100 or 51200) or consent of Instructor.
Learning Outcomes1Demonstrate an understanding of mathematical and statistical concepts in various measurements principles.
2Apply understanding of reliability and validity in both classical and modern measurement theory frameworks to solve practical measurement problems.
3Demonstrate knowledge of psychometric theories in scale development.
4Read the literature related to psychometrics in their own substantive areas more critically.
5Use measurement or scales more intelligently in research.
6Explain different models of modern test theory.
