Fall 2025 Lecture Upper DivisionThis course is designed to prepare special educators to deliver social studies and science content to children and adolescents with disabilities across PK-12 settings. It will also prepare special educators to make programmatic and instructional decisions related to least restrictive environment, appropriate educational supports, assistive technology, accommodations, and modification specific to science and social studies instruction. This course includes assignments that will be linked to EDPS 46100 the Special Education Student Teaching Residency.
Learning Outcomes1Use knowledge of general and specialized social studies curricula to individualize learning for individuals with exceptionalities.
2Use knowledge of general and specialized science curricula to individualize learning for individuals with exceptionalities.
3Use strategies to enhance language development and communication skills of individuals with exceptionalities across social studies and science content area.
