Fall 2025 Lecture Distance Learning Lower Division
This introductory course is designed to acquaint first year Learning Science students with the core concepts, principles, and research findings of the learning sciences as they apply to a wide range of formal and informal educational contexts. The course provides students with opportunities to interact with and learn about the scholarship of College of Education faculty who conduct research within the framework of the learning sciences. Students will learn about faculty projects that exemplify key features of the Learning Sciences such as attention to the complexity of learning environments, the study of social and cultural as well as individual dimensions of learning, and the cross-disciplinary nature of the field.
