A workshop to familiarize students with the CSR department, department majors, advising resources, and major requirements. Special emphasis on basic freshman survival skills.
Learning Outcomes1Understand the academic requirements and career paths for their major through industry speaker presentations and through reading and evaluating business media (e.g., Wall Street Journal).
2Acquire essential academic survival skills needed for success at Purdue University: writing for critical thinking and verbal communication for critical thinking.
3Understand their own personal identity, learning style and/or strengths and how these traits relate to possible career paths.
