Fall 2025 Instructors:

The development of the ability to write and design documents using electronic publishing technologies. Students will receive instruction in writing, graphics, and publishing software and will write, design, produce, and critique a number of publications.

Learning Outcomes

1Understand the foundational principles of document design and gain practical experience with contemporary design tools.

2Build portfolio pieces that employ a design thinking approach, both in content and execution

3Apply theories of document design to a variety of different genres directed to different audiences and rhetorical purposes.
