This course focuses on advanced issues related to an integrated computer vision system for sensing, quality control and automation applications.

Learning Outcomes

1Analyze and evaluate different components of a computer imaging system for different applications.

2Analyze and apply different image processing, image analysis and image understanding (pattern recognition) algorithms along with their underlying theories.

3Design and test different computer vision processes by using selected computer program, software and/or developing specific computer program(s).

4Appraise and analyze different real-world case studies to learn from successes and failures related to computer vision system-based devices or components.

5Develop and test tentative solution for selected real-world sensing, inspection, quality control and automation applications via project-based activity(ies).
