Fall 2025 Lecture Upper Division
This course includes an overview of HDFS-related professions, self-evaluation, career search skills, exploration of internship opportunities, and professional development. Students will complete arrangements for their field placement.
Learning Outcomes1Assess career interests and identify potential internship sites.
2Create a professional cover letter and resume.
3Identify how resources available at the Purdue Center for Career Opportunities (CCO) and its website (myCCO) can be used in the job/internship search.
4Develop skills and strategies for conducting an effective job/internship search.
5Develop and apply professional interviewing skills.
6Demonstrate professional behavior through the successful and timely completion of course assignments.
7Demonstrate preparation for the transition from student to intern.
