Fall 2025 Lecture Laboratory Upper DivisionThis course explores robot cognition with application of intelligent human-robot systems in unstructured manufacturing environments. Topics include intelligent robotics, machine learning, machine vision, and human-robot interaction with particular emphasis on applications for smart manufacturing.
Learning Outcomes1Describe the fundamental concepts of autonomous mobile and field robotics and human-robot interaction in unstructured smart manufacturing environments.
2Apply intelligent sensory perception algorithms and robot control through sensory feedback for visual and tactile sensing as modalities for human-robot interaction.
3Identify machine perception approaches and deep-learning techniques to help robots acquire interactive skills.
4Apply algorithms for spatial representation, mapping and localization with real-time robot control strategies integrated with machine perception approaches for applications in smart manufacturing environments.
