Machine learning (ML) algorithms are used to extract and analyze large amounts of manufacturing data. Fundamental ML analytic techniques and commonly used ML algorithms for manufacturing applications will be introduced. Students will create, train, and deploy ML models on a cloud platform to create enterprise-ready smart manufacturing artificial intelligence (AI) solutions.

Learning Outcomes

1Explain the benefits machine learning and artificial intelligence have in manufacturing.

2Describe the fundamental principles, core concepts and operations involved with developing machine learning applications.

3Apply commonly used machine learning algorithms for smart manufacturing applications.

4Apply cloud-based automated machine learning tools to develop models and applications to perform intelligent manufacturing operations and analytics.
