Spring 2026 Lecture Laboratory Distance Learning Lower Division
This course provides an investigation of predictive and documentary capabilities of engineering simulation and visualization tools. The course is based on concepts derived from theoretical computer graphics and related industrial standards, as well as the use of the geometric model-based product definition.
Learning Outcomes1Describe the processes of simulation and visualization methods and tools.
2Select and use appropriate simulation and visualization tools for specific PLM tasks.
3Describe the role of product data models to enhance the processes of engineering design optimization and verification.
4Develop skills of communication and project management through written assignments, individual, and group projects.
5Define and apply the fundamentals of technical simulation and visualization with CAx tools in a PLM environment.
