Introduces anthropology's holistic approach to human nature and behavior. This course uses the tools of cultural, biological, archaeological, and linguistic anthropology to follow the human journey of uniformity and diversity through time and across space.

Learning Outcomes

1Describe the basic concepts and applications of anthropology, including biological, cultural, archaeological, and linguistic anthropology.

2Recognize the deep social and biological histories that have shaped contemporary life.

3Examine processes of ongoing biological and social change that influence the environment, social organization, language, and other aspects of the world they experience.
