Learning Outcomes

1Understand each of the construction equipment functions and applications for construction operations.

2Use the technique and method presented in class to: analyze ownership and operating costs; analyze earthwork volume, mass diagram, and hauling distance; analyze compaction operations; analyze power requirements; analyze dozer operation; analyze scraper operation; analyze excavator operation; analyze hauling operation; understand asphalt mix production and placement; understand concrete and concrete equipment operation; understand crane operation.
