This course has been designed to help you apply the concepts of organic chemistry and to enhance your understanding of the subject. This lab is an extension of the PHSC 20401 laboratory, and you will continue to use the concepts and techniques that you learned in organic chemistry I.
Learning Outcomes1Perform lab exercises demonstrating some of the principles studied in lecture.
2Complete "wet chemistry" experiments directly related to the reactions that are covered in lecture.
3Learn about and engage in several analytical and purification techniques like thin-layer chromatography and column chromatography.
