Practical reading, writing, speaking, and listening comprehension skills, directed toward use of German in science and technology. Work on grammar as needed. Use of materials from recent publications in science and technology. Introduction to general and technical vocabulary. Conducted primarily in German. Credit will not be given for both GER 20200 and 22300.

1Identify appropriate use of German language in specific contexts by reading German texts about science, engineering, and business.

2Identify appropriate use of German language in specific contexts by listening to audio recordings about science, engineering, and business in spoken German.

3Identify appropriate use of German language in specific contexts by watching videos about science, engineering, and business in spoken German.

4Compose German sentences about science, engineering, and business by focusing on a set of grammatical rules and standards in the language.

5Produce sentences in spoken German in the form of dialogues and presentations that deal with science, engineering, and business.
