Fall 2025 Laboratory Lecture Distance LearningThis course introduces graduate students to the core theoretical and practical components of Digital Humanities. Students engage key theoretical texts in weekly seminars and practice central methodologies in weekly work sessions.
Learning Outcomes1Learn the basic vocabulary and concepts in digital humanities.
2Gain familiarity with digital humanities projects, critical work, resources in the field, and hands-on experience of building a scholarly digital research project.
3Gain experience working collaboratively with others on a joint project.
4Perform critical, formal analyses of DH projects, digital media, and digital tools.
5Write focused, analytical essays in clear, grammatical prose.
6Employ logic, creativity, and interpretive skills to produce original, persuasive arguments.
7Gain familiarity with digital tools and media used in in the field of digital humanities to create new knowledge of humanities subjects.
