Fall 2025 Recitation Lecture Laboratory Lower DivisionGeographic Information Systems (GIS) plays an important role in many disciplines as a tool for data management, query, visualization, and analysis. It can be used for natural resource management, environmental studies, agriculture, as well as social and political studies. This course will introduce students the basic knowledge about GIS, including the fundamental concepts of GIS, data models and management strategies, as well as some basic spatial analysis skills. Practical work will be introduced and completed using Esri ArcGIS Pro software. Permission of department required.
