Leading People and Effective Communication utilizes student's field training experience to take a more in-depth look at leadership. Special emphasis is placed on enhancing communication skills, and why that is important as a leader. Students have an opportunity to try out these leadership and management techniques in a supervised environment as juniors and seniors.

Learning Outcomes

1Compare and contrast individual leadership skills and approaches.

2Analyze personal leadership strengths and weaknesses.

3Explain the responsibility and authority of an Air Force officer.

4Explain Air Force officer's duties and responsibilities as a subordinate leader.

5Practice the Air Force officer's responsibilities in the counseling and feedback process.

6Evaluate and apply concepts of ethical behavior.

7Evaluate and analyze concepts, principles, and theories of quality in Air Force leadership and management.

8Demonstrate listening, speaking, and writing skills in Air Force-specific formats.
