This course provides the learner with the knowledge and skills to successfully administer and interpret the results of health evaluations and fitness assessments for the purposes of analysis and the development of individualized exercise programs.

Learning Outcomes

1Apply specific physiological principles to individual physical health prescription: Cardiovascular Health, Body Composition, Posture, Muscular Strength, Muscular Endurance, Flexibility, ROM.

2Explain verbally identified fitness assessment tests as would to a client indicating what, why, and how they are each performed.

3Administer pre-exercise screening questionnaire/informed consent and identify needs for a medical clearance.

4Administer accurately identified fitness assessment tests to a client and classify results.
