A sophisticated treatment of the principles of chemistry. Atomic structure and bonding, spectroscopy, equilibria, thermodynamics and kinetics. Includes weekly laboratory experiments. Two years of high school chemistry recommended. Students with a grade of C or better in CHM 13600 who need 8 hours of credit in general chemistry may request credit for CHM 11500.
