is not a prerequisite for MA 52800; these courses can be taken independently. Topics in MA 52700 include linear algebra, systems of ordinary differential equations, Laplace transforms, Fourier series and transforms, and partial differential equations. MA 51100 is recommended.

Learning Outcomes

1Know the theory of systems of linear equations.

2Know the theory of eigenvalues and eigenvectors and apply it to solve systems of ordinary differential equations and to analyze qualitative features.

3Know theoretical properties of Laplace transforms and how to use them.

4Know the basic theory of Fourier series and transforms, and how to apply these to solve partial differential equations.

Course MA 527 from Purdue University - West Lafayette.
