Fall 2025 Lecture Distance Learning Upper DivisionExplores the rhetorical and cultural aspects of multimedia design, implementation and publishing. Students will create a broad spectrum of multimodal texts such as digital videos, podcasts and Web sites. The course focuses on preparing students to adapt to ever-changing media landscapes.
Learning Outcomes1Use theories of rhetoric to develop texts, think critically, solve problems, and engage with the needs of diverse audiences.
2Apply data-driven approaches to specific rhetorical contexts, problems, and situations.
3Design multimedia documents and digital texts that include attention to accessibility and usability.
4Communicate complex information via a variety of mediums and or genres.
5Use common tools for creating multimedia and integrating visuals in written documents.
