Study of plants as unique elements of landscape design. Plants will be studied for their aesthetic and functional uses in the landscape. Various scales of planting and design will be approached. Natural distribution and ecological considerations in planting design will be explored. Requires class trips. Students will pay individual lodging or meal expenses when necessary.
