Spring 2026 Distance Learning Upper DivisionIn this course, students will be challenged to identify appropriate nursing interventions for patients with a combination of medical and obstetrical diagnoses. Through the course activities the students will be challenged to look at healthcare from a patient perspective.
Learning Outcomes1Discuss the application of communication strategies in relationships with dynamic and complex patient populations.
2Evaluate the use of critical thinking processes in one's nursing practice with medical-surgical and obstetrical populations.
3Discuss effectiveness and efficiencies of implementation of health promotion strategies with assigned patients.
