Spring 2026 Distance Learning Lecture Upper DivisionIn this course, students will be challenged to identify appropriate nursing interventions for patients with a combination of medical and psychiatric diagnoses. Through the course activities, the students will be challenged to look at healthcare from a patient perspective.
Learning Outcomes1Discuss the application of communication strategies in relationships with dynamic and complex patient populations.
2Evaluate the use of critical thinking processes in one's nursing practice with medically and psychologically unstable populations.
3Discuss effectiveness and efficiencies of implementation of health promotion strategies with assigned patients.
