An in-depth study of practices and procedures used to ensure that an aircraft is maintained in an airworthy state. Aircraft publications and maintenance methodology are emphasized.

Learning Outcomes

1Develop inspection skills, techniques and associated practices using appropriate technical publications, form, records, tools and equipment.

2Make airworthiness determinations concerning airframe, engine, propeller and component parts used in the construction of aircraft.

3Complete the paperwork, records and job card entries for returning aircraft to service according to aircraft industry standards.
