Intermediate reading course in Latin, designed to strengthen students' grasp of grammar and syntax, broaden vocabulary, and develop foundational skills in reading and translation.

Learning Outcomes

1Reinforce knowledge of the basic grammar, vocabulary, and syntax needed for reading and translating Latin.

2Read and translate simple Latin literature independently and read and translate more complex literature with suitable help from commentaries and instructor.

3Improve understanding of English through increased sensitivity to grammatical structures and stylistic choices and by extending their vocabulary through etymological connections.
