An introduction to rigging techniques and equipment for theatre and live entertainment. Permission of Instructor required.

Learning Outcomes

1Identify and demonstrate the proper use of single-purchase counterweight systems.

2Identify and demonstrate proper use of PPE (personal protective equipment) for rigging.

3Identify and demonstrate safe usage of typical static rigging equipment (basket, sling, turnbuckle, etc.).

4Demonstrate proper installation and safe usage of chain motors and truss rigging.

5Calculate safe working loads.
