Fall 2025 Lecture Distance Learning JEDIUpper DivisionThis course integrates empirical studies (observational, correlational, experimental) with classical and current personality theories. Topics include the biological foundations of personality, self-esteem, extraversion, sex role orientation, authoritarianism, and personality disorders. Minimum competence is assumed in basic experimental design and correlations.
Learning Outcomes1Define personality from a scientific psychological perspective.
2Discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the methods and sources of data for personality researchers.
