Fall 2025 LectureThis course focuses on expanding and applying students' knowledge of qualitative data collection and analysis with an emphasis on multiple approaches to data collection, analysis, and interpretation. Prerequisite: EDCI 61500 or permission of instructor.
Learning Outcomes1Describe, analyze and evaluate the theoretical tenets and multiple paradigms of qualitative inquiry as applied to data collection and analysis.
2Describe, analyze, and evaluate the role of the researcher in qualitative inquiry.
3Describe, analyze, and evaluate the issues of representation, analysis, interpretation, writing, and validity in qualitative inquiry.
4Understand multiple data collection methods and approaches to qualitative analysis.
5Understand the ethical issues and concerns involved in qualitative inquiry at an advanced level.
