Spring 2025 Lecture Upper DivisionThis course is intended to orient new graduate students to the Engineering Technology (ET) program and faculty. This can include PhD students and students pursuing a Master's degree through a thesis or directed project option. Research activities within ET and throughout Purdue University are discussed. Student resources and opportunities are reviewed to give the students the tools they need to be successful. In addition, this course provides a way to develop a natural cohort of graduate students. This course is a graduate seminar course focused on the ET program. Graduate status or upper-division undergraduate.
Learning Outcomes1Summarize research interests of ET graduate faculty.
2Interpret Purdue University research activities and resources and apply this knowledge to their particular research plan.
3Generate MS or PhD preliminary documents based on ET specific requirements.
4Implement effective use of library resources and ability to write scholarly information in accepted format styles.
