This course consists of the study of compressible and incompressible fluid statics and dynamics as applied to hydraulic and pneumatic pumps, motors, transmissions, and controls.
Learning Outcomes1Design hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
2Compute various properties related to fluids and fluid power systems using appropriate mathematical equations and tools.
3Analyze both hydraulic and pneumatic fluid power systems and their relevant components.
4Demonstrate the efficient use of various components as part of a fluid power system.
5Analyze the results from standard computing and simulation tools to create presentations and reports.
