Spring 2023 LectureThis course introduces students to advanced computer programming techniques in the context of Computer-Aided Design and Manufacturing by focusing on automation and customization procedures of 3D solid modeling, design, and management tasks. The courses emphasizes problem-solving skills and creative thinking by developing solutions to manipulate CAD applications, files and PDM systems programmatically. By the end of the semester, students should be able to identify characteristics and common patterns in tasks that lend themselves to automation and select and evaluate the most appropriate mechanisms to implement different levels of automation. Pre-Requisite: CGT 52000 or equivalent.
