Learning Outcomes1Know what the three axioms of probability are and use them to derive other probability formulae.
2Use probability formulae to calculate probabilities.
3Convert from a probability density function to a cumulative probability function and vice versa.
4Calculate expected values, variance, and standard deviation of random variables.
5Identify special classes of random variables and use them to calculate probabilities.
6Calculate covariance and correlation of two random variables.
7Calculate the mean squared error of an estimator, and derive maximum likelihood estimators.
