Advanced studies in selected printmaking processes including relief, silkscreen, lithography, intaglio and book arts. Emphasis on color printmaking, photomechanical methods, fine art conceptual issues, creativity, and professional practices.
Learning Outcomes1Create strong contemporary personal work in printmaking with expressive and original ideas.
2Cultivate personal style through self-directed artist research, image development and experimentation in printmaking.
3Demonstrate advanced technical skill in one or more printmaking mediums.
4Acquire advanced technical skills to create multi-colored prints utilizing color, layering, and registration.
5Describe and critique the work of professional printmaking artists, self and peers.
