Fall 2025 Studio Upper DivisionStudy of advanced space-planning criteria and selection of furnishings, equipment, materials, and finishes. Design considerations for special populations (e.g., disabled, aged, low-income) will be explored.
Learning Outcomes1Design functional and creative spaces based on the needs of specific building conditions or requirements.
2Create design solutions through the execution of conceptual diagrams, realistic visualization techniques and 3-dimensional modeling.
3Apply information on building codes and the special requirements of barrier-free design and design for physically challenged individuals or groups in design projects.
4Produce interior materials, furnishings and finishes for commercial spaces in keeping with those needs and as outlined in the design project.
