Fall 2025 Lecture Variable TitleThis seminar is for doctoral students in special education. Its purpose is to contribute to the development of student's professional competencies, including conducting and writing scholarly research, grant writing, university-level teaching, and professional engagement. To facilitate this growth each seminar will culminate in a scholarly product related to the seminar's focus.
Learning Outcomes1Formulate clear and concise research questions and generate one idea for a research project.
2Develop a comprehensive research plan for their ideas based on a review of the literature.
3Produce a detailed research project proposal or carry out a research project that aligns with their own research interests.
4Apply their knowledge in evidence-based practice and lead a session on academic intervention (e.g., reading, math, science, social studies) to effectively support students with diverse needs.
