Fall 2025 Lecture Distance Learning Departmental CreditUpper DivisionTheory and principles of design for processes used in environmental engineering, with emphasis on water and wastewater treatment. Processes include: coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, centrifugation, filtration, disinfection, adsorption, and gas/liquid transfer.
Learning Outcomes1Learn fundamental principles of physico/chemical processes that are commonly used by Environmental Engineers with an emphasis on water treatment.
2Understand principles that have a broad application in Environmental Engineering and other disciplines.
