Spring 2026 Lecture Upper DivisionThis course critically evaluates the interrelationships between nutrition and exercise and their impact on physical performance and health. Concepts combining nutritional sciences and exercise physiology will be presented. Emerging science and controversies in the current literature will be discussed.
Learning Outcomes1Value the integration of nutrition and exercise for human health promotion, especially related to dietary macronutrients and energy.
2Discuss current controversial topics in nutrition and fitness and special topics.
3Practice scientific literature searching, critical evaluation and interpretation of research, technical and scientific writing, and oral communication skills.
