Fall 2025 Lecture(ANSC 62500) Integration of biochemical and physiological functions of nutrients in humans and animals emphasizing interactions in bone and gut metabolism and physiology. Permission of instructor required.
Learning Outcomes1Demonstrate knowledge of foundational scientific concepts.
2Comprehend, interpret and apply knowledge to integrate biochemistry and physiology information relevant to nutrient metabolism with particular emphasis on bone and gut.
3Develop knowledge of and learn to apply research methods used in nutrition, including biochemical and molecular analyses, preclinical and clinical study designs, and epidemiological approaches.
4Develop skills important to a career in nutrition and animal science, e.g. critical thinking skills, reading and discussing current scientific literature, and scientific writing.
