Fall 2025 Instructors:

A review of contemporary standards of human interaction in the workplace. How manners, etiquette and style affect and enhance everyday dealings with others.

Learning Outcomes

1List and describe pertinent information on an invitation, issue a correctly worded invitation.

2Start and continue reception/dinner conversation, be able to make appropriate small talk. Explain the need for good conversation.

3Incorporate skills associated with entertaining/hosting clients and guests.

4Describe different styles of foodservice, and how they apply when dining.

5Identify and interpret menu language and wine lists and make successful menu selections for polished dining in company.

6Employ civility and etiquette in day-to-day activities and become a better guest.

7Make introductions and toasts.

8Distinguish appropriate attire and dress for success in the business/social world.

9Make wise decisions regarding interviews and demonstrate appropriate behavior when making site visits.
