Fall 2025 Lecture Distance Learning JEDIUpper DivisionProvides the student with a basic knowledge of human sexuality as it pertains to individuals, couples and families. The course is designed to be helpful to students who will become family life educators as well as to be helpful to students as individuals, spouses, and parents.
Learning Outcomes1Construct a basic knowledge of human sexuality as it pertains to family relations in the personal and professional settings.
2Compare and describe social, cultural, historical, and technological trends and the interrelationships between these trends and their impact on sexuality, family relations, and personal values and attitudes.
3Differentiate and examine the many different aspects of sexuality including biological, developmental, medical, cultural, historical, and interpersonal.
4Demonstrate knowledge that helps to develop a better understanding of students' own feelings and attitudes related to sexuality and how those attitudes and feelings influence their beliefs about individuals, couples, and families.
