Supervised individual research. Weeks 9-16. This course is intended to provide a brief introduction to independent undergraduate research. Students should plan on continuing their research in the same laboratory in the following semester. The primary goal of this course is to gain experience working side-by-side with researchers in a real laboratory setting. Students will begin to learn how to best record their data in laboratory notebooks, and gain experience in trouble-shooting and critically analyzing the results of their experiments. Permission of instructor required.
