This course provides a regular forum to bring PVM students and faculty together to discuss current issues facing the veterinary profession. Topics will vary depending upon current events and opportunities to feature guest lecturers. Time-shifting may be done to accommodate special events such as PVM Research Day.

Learning Outcomes

1Increase student awareness of current issues facing the veterinary profession and provide a forum for discussion.

2Expose students to the breadth of career opportunities that are available to veterinarians.

3Expose students to international educational opportunities that are available to them.

4Discuss topics that will enhance the DVM curriculum, such as: a. Current events/topics; b. Research; c. Diversity and inclusion; d. Wellness; e. Animal welfare.
